Laborie Champagne

They do not call it champagne because they are not allowed to. They call it Sparkling Wine.


I had a little at their wine tasting and thought it was fantastic. It cost R52 per bottle which is just over GBP 3.00.


I bought a cold bottle and took it to the restaurant but could only have a glass and a half.


A young couple arrived with two young children. I asked the staff to give them a glass each as if it was complimentary from the restaurant.


A few minutes layer a young couple French or Belgian arrived and I did the same with them.


It was a pleasure to see their smiles and their eyes light up.


I'll call it Champagne as I think it deserves the name!
